MORE INFORMATION, BETTER DECISIONS

Ever wish you had a crystal ball before you took a listing or submitted an offer so you would know how the deal would turn out? Well, you can't predict every situation, but having more information can help you make better decisions.

Join Dennis Brzezicki from First American CoreLogic at the PPAR Annual Membership meeting on August 28, 2008 as he presents two new features coming to the Realist County Records system:

  • Enhanced Foreclosure Functionality: the ability to distinguish between Pre-Foreclosure (notice of default), Auction (those properties already set for auction), and Bank Owned (those properties that have been taken back by the bank/investor).
  • RVM: Realist ValueMap-"What's My Home Really Worth" valuation model for broker use.

NEW PPMLS AREA BOUNDARIES

In June, RSC invited Participants to serve on a Task Force to study and make recommendations on the MLS Area boundaries in El Paso County.  After lengthy discussion of the impact of product and acreage on marketing and sales, the following recommendations were made:

  1. Section 5306 will be pulled into BRI.
  2. Taking into consideration the development of Banning-Lewis and Claremont properties, a new Area called MRK-Marksheffel will cover the area east of Marksheffel, west of Meridan, south of Woodman (except for section 5312), north of Drennan, (including four sections formerly in F/V).
  3. A new Area called FAN-Falcon North will include 19 sections from the southern part of Black Forest and sections 5312 and 4306 from FAL.
  4. The Area DEP will be changed to D/P-Douglas/Parker.

These recommendations have been scheduled for implementation with the December 2008 Tempo programming publish.

DISCOUNTED MAPS

To make purchasing maps more convenient by being available in additional outlets, and to offer more competitive pricing, the RSC Board of Directors is changing the map formats.  MacVan plans to have maps that have been updated with new streets and the new Areas in January 2009.

  • Colorado Springs City fold map: - will have Top and Side Coordinates.
  • Colorado Springs Regional Atlas/book map will have MLS Area Boundaries, and Top and Side Coordinates.
  • Teller County fold map:  will have Top and Side Coordinates and a small MLS Area map insert.

The current inventory of Colorado Springs City fold and Colorado Springs Regional Atlas maps are now discounted to a lower cost of $3.50 and $10.00 respectively.
