Update on MLS Discussions in Front Range

On May 8th Pikes Peak REALTOR® Service corporation shared a statement with Members and Participants regarding the organization’s desire to be formally included in discussions with REColorado and IRES for providing the best possible solutions for real estate professionals. The statement was directed at the other two MLS organizations to publicly announce and make known the willingness of RSC & PPAR to be part of finding solutions for REALTORS®. In an effort to keep our Members and Participants informed, we wanted to update you on the status of our request to be a part of productive conversations among all the stakeholders.

Several weeks after the May 8th announcement, RSC received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the three MLSs to enter into formal merger discussions. The LOI was created during facilitated conversations between REColorado and IRES with no input from RSC or PPAR. RSC could not sign the LOI as it was written as it was not in the best interest of RSC, PPAR, members or participants and limited future discussions. RSC responded by asking for a meeting between the three MLSs prior to committing to next steps. RSC believes that all parties should have equal input in the process and remains committed to working together to develop the best possible solutions.

RSC and PPAR leadership will continue to keep you informed on this very important issue.
